Boris Johnson edit

In the course of your tidying up of Boris Johnson you seem to have deleted some substantive content relating to whether or not a complaint has been made against Mr Johnson. I assume this was a mistake, as it doesn't seem to be mentioned in the edit summary. I will put it back in the appropriatte place. If I am mistaken, please leave a message on my talk page about it. Alexander Armstrong edit

Hello Bangdrum, regarding your revert of my edit at Alexander Armstrong, please see User_talk:Stephenb#RE: for my opinion on the matter, bear in mind that its better to discuss something first and then revert, I don't really mind, as you may be able to tell from my comments at User talk:Stephenb I'm pretty neutral on the matter, but sometimes reverting without discussion can (unintentionally) provoke an edit war. I know I should have discussed it first too, but I wasn't aware that there was a discussion ongoing, and regarded my edit as a non-controversial correction, not that I blame you for undoing my edit, I am as guilty as the next person of reverting before discussion, but just a note for future. Ignore my babbling if it all sounds like nonsense! Kindest regards, SpitfireTally-ho! 14:41, 2 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:55, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:26, 6 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
