Wikipedia Ambassador listed at Redirects for discussion edit

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Wikipedia Ambassador. Since you had some involvement with the Wikipedia Ambassador redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. — Godsy (TALKCONT) 10:52, 4 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Just a note to say hi edit

Just came across your user page randomly today (I enjoy reading random user pages on here as I eat and often click and look over/read 30 or 40 a day) and I really like it, I must say. I like your definition of "Diplomacy" that you typed out...it's very well put. Your page is very nicely written overall, I think. Anyway, that's all. Image Patrol edit

You might find this useful:-

https://quarry.wmflabs.org/query/18892

I've been slowly trying to reduce the number of files without {{information}} blocks.

The assistance of experienced contributors in reducing the query results to zero would be appreciated. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 21:07, 25 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

I can vaguely see what that query is meant to do, but I'm afraid I don't know where I'd use it. Sorry, but it's a little advanced for me. Do you have any further links that I could use to learn more about that? Banaticus (talk) 13:20, 26 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Bem casados.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Bem casados.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:17, 22 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

The page already said, "Fair use -- only available image for the movie". I've since expanded the fair use rationale. Banaticus (talk) 22:54, 23 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
That's just a statement that you claim fair use, not a fair use rationale. The fair use rationale you added is obviously incorrect, so a new tag, {{dfu}}, has been added. --Stefan2 (talk) 23:15, 23 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
How is it obviously incorrect? The titular poster of a movie is specifically called out as an example of fair use. Banaticus (talk) 00:40, 24 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
Did you even bother reading what you wrote in the FUR? A poster is obviously not a logo. --Stefan2 (talk) 11:55, 24 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
Changed the one mention of "logo" to "image". Banaticus (talk) 20:51, 25 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2017 election voter message edit

Hello, Banaticus. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
