Target Field edit

Hello, welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed some of your edits on Target Field and wanted to notify you of some issues. Per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section, you don't need to have sources in the lead, as everything should be covered in the body. I found the majority of the statement in the lead that you removed had some sort of source in the body, except for the "roof ready" portion and the banquet. I added that portion back in, without the aforementioned portions. Your removal of the "2005 is remembered as" portion was a great edit, as it didn't have a source. But just be aware you shouldn't edit Wikipedia articles based on "I don't remember this", this was a minor issue though.

Look, I know I'm being somewhat critical, but like 99% of your edits on Target Field were great, and you really helped clean it up, I just wanted to inform you of two small issues before you go forward and make those same mistakes. I really hope you stay and contribute more to Wikipedia, you have a great base of knowledge. Cheers! Sea Cow (talk) 20:55, 21 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the advice. My "I don't remember this" was sort of in response to the content saying "2005 is remembered as..." which I thought was a little presumptuous.

Thank you for the link to the lead section guidelines. I read most of it. The part about "citations" says that citations aren't usually required in the lead section because it's a summary of information in the body. I guess it's obvious that the stadium is open-air, so even though that isn't explicitly cited in the body, it doesn't need one in the lead? Also, I find the bit about "able to accomodate hockey games" is a tad misleading, as it's only scheduled to host 1 game and that's a special event that requires weeks of prep by the NHL; by that logic, any space at least 200 by 85 feet in the world is capable of hosting a hockey game. It's also hosted only 1 soccer game. So I still think that sentence needs some editing; I would personally take the hockey game and soccer and football games out, or maybe edit it to read differently. Back Bay Barry (talk)

I'm going to somewhat disagree, if they didn't have the picture, would they know it was open air? No. I don't really know if we should just let people infer, rather than just giving them cold hard facts. Also, it's somewhat covered by the 2005 section, with that + the image, we should be good to go on sourcing the "open air. I'm going to edit the part about the different games though. Cheers! I did source it.Justanother2 (talk) 18:02, 14 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

You very clearly did not. Back Bay Barry (talk) 18:06, 14 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

The HuffPo reference discusses it. Also there are dozens of references online. Do you know how to figure that out and find them?Justanother2 (talk) 18:16, 14 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Take this to the article talk page. Back Bay Barry (talk) 18:24, 14 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Check and see what mendacious means. Was willing to hear you out until some of what you said wasn't going along with earlier things. I have given quite a bit of proofs that the additions or editing I am making are correct. You'll see for yourself if you happen to check. Take how a user on here says leaving out the word to is inconsequential. Don't have too much patience for that.Justanother2 (talk) 05:44, 15 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Please stop posting on my talk page. Thank you. Back Bay Barry (talk) 17:22, 15 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Problem User edit

I'm not getting involved in that one. These things typically work themselves out. I think you're okay on this but be careful on WP:CAN. Thanks! Nemov (talk) 14:17, 17 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
