Swami Vivekanand tell us that helping others physically is really a good thing, but spiritual help is more important because the need id greater. Here, Swami Vivekanand gives the example of man's want. He said us, "If the man's want could be removed for an hour, it is helping indeed, if his want can be removed for a year it would be more help to him, but if his wants could be removed forever, it is surely the greatest help that can be given to him, "According to Swami Vivekanand only the knowledge of spirit destroy completely the power of want and it is the best help forever to a man, He said that 'the person who give spiritual knowledge is the greatest person of mankind.' A Spiritually strong and sound man can be powerful in every other matter. He suggested us that help the needy but did not help him much more that his needs will arise. He told that even the man's physical needs were not well satisfied, until there is the spiritual strength present in a man.
After the spiritual help Swami Vivekanand suggested that to give intellectual help to a needy. Intellectual help is the greatest help to the mankind. Giving the knowledge to the mankind the greatest help or it is a higher gift than the gift of good and clothes. Which we give to the needy or even it is higher than giving life to a man. Here Swami Vivekanand explained that 'why intellectual help is important?' and the said that the real life of man consists of knowledge. He said that "Ignorance is death, knowledge is life." Without knowledge our life is incomplete. If the man had no knowledge he leads to the misery in his life
After then Swami Vivekanand to told about the physical help. Swami Vivekanand suggests that helping them physically removing their physical needs is a kind help but it can not give a permanent satisfaction to not completely satisfied about our wants, then our misery cannot stop. Here, He gives the example that "When we are hungry the hunger is removed by eating, but hunger returns. "And the human's needs are like that it will arise again and again whenever we are not satisfied. When we are satisfied about all want, no hunger no distress, no sorrow made us miserable. We try to learn to control on addiction of our wants and when we learn it, it is helping him.
Swami Vivekanand suggested us that the miseries of the world cannot be cured by physical help only. We should give intellectual and spiritual help also. Knowledge is most important. Because ignorance is the mother of evil and of all misery. That's why he suggested that the only solution on it that let the man be pure and spiritually strong and educated. To stop the misery in the world. He suggested us that, we can give social service to the people we may convert every house in the charitable hospital and we fill the land with hospitals to help the needy. And when we can give this physical help, intellectual and spiritual help to the mankind, surely no misery cannot came in the world. But, it will be continue until man's character changes.
