editHello, BFUK - Hayley. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 2A00:23C5:50E8:EE01:FDBB:D885:56F4:B3F5 (talk) 13:48, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- This is not a conflict of interest. It is a link to citations on the topic of the wikipedia entry. I am not a business, I do not sell anything nor make any income. I spend my time educating about silver foxes and am the only person to do so and have spent 10 years collecting and citing the information. BFUK - Hayley (talk) 13:56, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Silver fox (animal). Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. 2A00:23C5:50E8:EE01:FDBB:D885:56F4:B3F5 (talk) 14:05, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- It is not advertising! I don't even know what half of what you just said means. It is an appropriate link for the wiki reference, same as the closed domestic fox website also linked. Its not about promotion, its about citations and verified information for the topic. Where do I"discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it." - My information is citied in news and media all over the world. Why cant it be linked in Wiki? BFUK - Hayley (talk) 14:10, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- so I just get my followers to do it? BFUK - Hayley (talk) 14:14, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- Also the website linked "domestic fox" is a way back link and does not WORK! What is the difference other than my website is current and working? It is 10 years old and the world has quoted it, why cant wiki share the info also? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-56290799 BFUK - Hayley (talk) 14:17, 21 July 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:
not advertising or promotion just information for the public that you page also verifies. Exactly the same as the defunct Domestic Fox website linked
Decline reason:
You have a clear and blatant conflict of interest here and need to commit to stop linking your website(s). Yamla (talk) 14:48, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
