Maximum sustainable yield edit

Hi oebeditors. That's excellent stuff you are adding to Maximum sustainable yield. However, there is some overlap here with other articles, such as population dynamics, population dynamics of fisheries and fisheries management. It might be useful to take a wider view, and consider how your additions relate to these other articles - some of the material might be more appropriately added to other articles which you will find links to in the population dynamics of fisheries --Geronimo20 (talk) 23:47, 25 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Citations edit

Can you please add more citations to the section you have added on Modelling MSY. Without citations, some other editor could come along and remove the section on the ground that it could be original research. It clearly isn't, but Wikipedia is not a textbook - it is an encyclopaedia, which means it is about verifiablility, not truth :/ --Geronimo20 (talk) 20:36, 29 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes - I certainly can and will. B.A.D.oebeditors (talk) 12:12, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
That's great :). I have formatted the citations into a different style, more suited to this article. You can see how it is done by looking at the code. I have also displayed the first two references to "Milner-Gulland and Mace 1998" with place names for page numbers, in the form "pp. xxx–yyy" and " pp. aaa–bbb". It would be good for the book references if you can also supply the page numbers. And a minor point, citations go after punctuation marks, like periods and commas, and not before. You're doing a great job! --Geronimo20 (talk) 18:06, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Excellent. I will work on digging up the page numbers. B.A.D.oebeditors (talk) 18:24, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
