Manual of Style

edit

Hi there, re: this edit, "active" is not a proper noun and should not be capitalised. We use "Sentence case" in headings, not "Title Case" (note the difference). Similarly here, "present" is not a proper noun, nor does it begin a sentence, so it should not be capitalised. "2016 – present" is the same thing as saying "2016 to present". We wouldn't capitalise the "present" in such a sentence fragment. If you plan to edit Wikipedia, you should familiarise yourself with our general Manual of Style, so that you understand proper formatting, as well as our Manual of Style for television articles. Both manuals of style represent widespread community preferences, so editors should be adhering to them. Also, I don't understand why here you moved Arjun Bijlani down to the Recurring cast if he's labeled a protagonist. The change has been reverted. Please explain on the article's talk page. Thank you. This edit is not constructive. "Main Cast" doesn't follow the capitalisation formatting I explained to you above. It should be "Main cast", and again, it's unclear why you moved Bijlani, this time to the bottom of the Main cast section, or why you think we need to know that Vineet Raina is male. Isn't it obvious from looking at him? Also, please see WP:PROTAGONIST. We shouldn't be using interpretive labels for these people at all. It should be clear from coherent character descriptions who each character is, what their role is, and through the use of gender pronouns, what their sex is. List of Millennium characters#Main characters is a good example of what this section is supposed to look like. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:47, 21 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Re: this, please explain on the article's talk page why you keep making this change. If you make it again without an explanation that conforms to our existing guidelines, you will be blocked. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:06, 17 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Unconstructive editing at Sasural Simar Ka

edit

These edits are not constructive. Per WP:TVCAST, cast members are organised by their introduction into a series, with new additions being added to the bottom of the list. Placing 2016 and 2017 cast entrants at the top of the list, above people who were introduced in 2011, 2012, etc., is not consistent with community consensus. As I've asked you before, please familiarise yourself with MOS:TV if you plan to edit TV articles. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:23, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
