Hi. How can I be of assistance? UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 19:45, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Can you tell me why a clock has just appeared at the top of my page? Is it part of Wikipedia or has my computer broken? Aygo (talk) 19:49, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Not sure why it just appeared, but if it's a blue clock with 6 digits that matches your computer's clock, then it's OK. It's called a Gadget. Click on "My Preferences" at the top of the screen, then select the rightmost tab - "Gadgets". The fourth item under "User interface gadgets" should be this clock, and the checkbox will be checked. You can uncheck it, if you wish, and that should disable the clock entirely. There are other items on that page that you might want to look at - or not, it's your option. If that doesn't describe this particular clock, then I really have no idea - you might try logging out then back in to purge the system. UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 20:02, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
It is in My preferences, I didn't switch it on though, it just appeared for no reason. Thanks for your help! Aygo (talk) 20:27, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
My pleasure. Also, since no one seems to have gotten to you yet,

Population of Birmingham edit

Just out of interest, why did you revert the population of Birmingham back from 1,006,500? It says on the Birmingham City Council website that the population is indeed what I stated it to be (http://www.birmingham.gov.uk/Media?MEDIA_ID=205538) for the year of 2006. I'd appreciate an explanation. Xtrememachineuk (talk) 14:10, 16 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
