And The Soul Shall Dance

edit

Hi, Awsettlage. I took a look at your draft for And The Soul Shall Dance . I have a few comments:

  • You've created a list of references for your article, but in order for it to be clear to a critical reader which claims are sourced to what, you need to source them inline with the claim they support. Once you do that--with the VisualEditor you can click the "Cite" button and generate citations (from links to web sites, articles in JSTOR) or re-use citations you've already entered--the page will render each source in a list ordered by when they're first cited.
  • Most wikipedia articles on plays will have a plot summary, but relative to the article it should not be very large. The details of the plot itself should be summarized as best as possible, especially for when the article is just getting started.
  • The Influences section has a few extended quotes by the author about the play. I think this could be better used to summarize his and other views on the play.
  • The Critical Reception section should play (with sources) the audience and critical response to the play. It should not speculate on why the play was successful or sing its praises in the voice of the encyclopedia.

A lot of these play articles are structured like articles on movies or modern plays. If you take a look at Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan you can see what a particularly well developed article on a movie looks like. That's after years of work and hundreds of different people contributing, but the style, tone and basic shape are something you can certainly point your article to with just a bit more work. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need a hand with anything. Adam (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:21, 19 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

I've added your old edit history to the article. Thanks for your work! Any future changes you make you can do so live there. And your sandbox is free if you want to work on something els eor play with formatting. I see you've shortened the plot summary somewhat. What about the remaining suggestions I had above?
