Rollback granted

Hi AviationFreak. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Wug·a·po·des 22:32, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

Request on 28th September 2020 about Draft:Zenreader article approval

Hi User:AviationFreak, thank you or reviewing the page on Draft:Zenreader. With regards to notability, I would like to refer you to the page on Comparison of reference management software where I am planning to submit changes so that Zenreader also appears on the list (hence why I started by contributing a separate article on Zenreader, just like many of the softwares do that are listed there). Here are a few examples of softwares who have a separate article page on the comparison page mentioned here, which have even fewer notability references compared to Zenreader's article page: Bebop, BibBase, Bibus, refbase, Sente.

Because of this, could we have the approval for the Zenreader page. I see from the list of articles above, that all of them refer to their homepage on the External Links section of the article page. Perhaps I can add such a section on the Zenreader article draft page as well? Please let me know if I am missing something or whether I can proceed with re-submitting for approval given the points above.

Looking forwards to your thoughts on this.

Cmminleapian (talk) 15:11, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

@Cmminleapian: WP:ININ is the answer to your question. None of the articles you cited went through AfC, and all of them have tags at the top acknowledging the need for more citations to show notability. An article's existence on Wikipedia does not indicate that all of its competitors or all of the similar topics in the world should be included. If you like, you can try and improve the articles you cited (and any others in need of citations) by finding references online and including them within the articles. If you cannot find information on notability elsewhere (aka a WP:BEFORE check), you can nominate them for deletion at WP:AfD. If you have any other questions about the draft you submitted or why its references do not currently show notability, feel free to respond to this message. not explanation?

I left a long explanation when I did the edit, I'm not sure where you are looking. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RichardF77 (talkcontribs) 20:21, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

@RichardF77: That's the default message given by Huggle when reverting significant removal of content - I saw your edit summary, but it seemed a bit underjustified to me. I'm not well-versed in the subject though, so I'll let watchers of that page discuss the changes if they like. AviationFreak💬 21:03, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

Armenia/Azerbaijan discretionary sanctions

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Bill Ayers: TERRORIST

Why in the world would you deign to call Bill Ayers an ACTIVIST? Are you daft?

Do you not comprehend the meaning of the word TERRORIST? Check your definition against Google's own: https://www.google.com/search?q=define+terrorism&oq=define+terrorism&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l7.3341j1j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Are you simply so entrenched in Democrat Socialist propaganda that you cannot accurately write about history? There is no excuse for what he and The Weathermen did during that time. As a Veteran I lived through that time and that son-of-a-bitch should have gone to prison.

Wikipedia adheres to the WP:NPOV policy. If secondary reliable sources have not widely referred to Ayers as a "terrorist," he will not be labeled one on Wikipedia. AviationFreak💬 01:55, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

Thanks

Hi, Aviage here. I'm the person you just invited to Wikipedia, and I'd just like to say thanks. It's nice to know that out there, there are genuine people who genuinely care. It's also nice to know that my edits are not just disappearing into the cloud but are genuinely being noticed. So, once again, Thank you Cheers, Aviage. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aviage64 (talkcontribs) 06:19, 4 October 2020 (UTC)

Robert J. Stern article. I am editing my own entry to provide early life background. There are no citations. Is it allowed?

P.S. I am a very inexpert user.

@Zyzzy2: Wikipedia articles rely on reliable sources to ensure the accuracy of content on a page. Content's inclusion in a page is also based on whether or not outside sources have mentioned it. Based on this, I would encourage you to refrain from adding content like that to a page. Also see WP:BLPCITE for info on what claims specifically need to be cited. As a sidenote, I would encourage against editing your own biography page, per WP:COI and WP:AUTOBIO. If you have any other questions, feel free to reply to this message. Edit on ikechukwu Onunaku

sorry but i didnt make any mistake. I am the individual himself. And i removed gossip from the writeup. I was also looking to add a photo but couldnt find it in the menu no edit profile option. My newest kovie just came out yesterday so i made an adjustment to its release date in the filmography also. Ikechukwu Onunaku (talk) 17:18, 4 October 2020 (UTC)

@Ikechukwu Onunaku: Removing negative information from your page is a major violation of Wikipedia's WP:COI and WP:NPOV policies. Users are strongly encouraged not to edit their own autobiographies (see WP:AUTOBIO). AviationFreak💬 17:30, 4 October 2020 (UTC)

Ok. Understood. Had no idea. Ikechukwu Onunaku (talk) 17:31, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
