Identifying edits as vandalism

Please take care what edits you revert as vandalism. This edit has an edit summary which clearly explained the reason it was made and by definition was not vandalism yet you reverted it as such. Misidentifying edits as vandalism can discourage new good faith editors. In general, if a new editor makes a change which is policy compliant and can be reasonable exlained as an exercise of editorial judgement then it should either be allowed to stand or an explanation of why the edit is being reverted should be given.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. Cheers. Jbh Talk 19:56, 10 July 2018 (UTC)

I have also noticed some reverts where you removed material which may be good but is simply unsourced or poorly formatted. [1] [2] [3]. There is no requirement that added material be sourced, although I personally think it should be. In situations like these I suggest checking if the material added is controversial, obviously incorrect or can be sourced before reverting. I also suggest giving more of an explanation to the editor than just reverted good faith edit. Again, reverting edits which improve the encyclopedia but and not 'perfect' can discourage new users. Understood, thank you for notifying.

February 2019

Hello, I'm MrOllie. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. WPCleaner 2.0

Installer for WPCleaner

Hello AvalerionV.

I would like to inform you that a new version of WPCleaner is available replacing the old version (v1.43) dating back to almost a year. Unfortunately, going from version 1.43 to 2.0 automatically isn't possible and will require a new installation. It's necessary to install version 2.0 to take advantage of updates and bug fixes. Version 1.43 will have to be uninstalled manually, as there are no more updates for it.

The installation procedure is described at Wikipedia:WPCleaner/Installation.

Note: for usage in Bot mode, I strongly advise to check the modifications to be sure that the tasks run correctly

I've also just released a graphical installer for WPCleaner, but it has not been tested yet by users (see Wikipedia_talk:WPCleaner#Test installation program). If you try this solution, can you give me a feedback on WPCleaner's talk page ? --NicoV (Talk on frwiki) 11:15, 25 February 2019 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Bower (software)

Hello, AvalerionV. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Bower".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 23:03, 25 March 2019 (UTC)

Hack Forums

Hello sir, I'm going to assume Good-Faith with you. I'll try to argue my point that the quote does not follow the Wikipedia guidelines for neutral content. It's also defamatory and libelous. The quote used is not a fact, it is a rumor, it is malicious, it's controversial, and it not neutral in tone. Thus should immediately be altered or removed. You originally created this page. You should take some pride in your work and remove the malicious edits. Gotchynow (talk) 15:01, 11 August 2019 (UTC)

Glad to see you finally talk about the issue on the talk-page of the article. After the previous incident I decided to leave the article as it is for good reasons but since you asked, I will gladly add my POV to this matter. AvalerionV 15:49, 11 August 2019 (UTC)

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:21, 19 November 2019 (UTC)
