Article deletion
editHi! I wanted to give you some advice on how to improve the article:
- The article needs sourcing that is about Wright that is independent of him (and anyone he's affiliated with) and is reliable. Last FM is not a reliable source as far as Wikipedia is considered, as anyone can edit the page and add whatever they want. This is especially important when it comes to anything that would be seen as controversial, such as the claims of gang affiliation, which should not be in the article without enough reliable sources to justify this.
- Places like YouTube are seen as iffy, as they're seen as a self-published source. In order for the source to be seen as usable you'd have to show where the people posting the video are routinely seen as a reliable source by other reliable sources.
- This needs to be written to better fit Wikipedia's writing style. It's written as more of a hype piece and contains wording that would be seen as an opinion or otherwise non-neutral in tone. Avoid wording like "unforgettable". For example, the following sentence is a claim that isn't really backed up by the source and is also an opinion:
- To the horror-core gangsta rap scene most of Tommy’s albums are considered pioneering classics, predominantly because of the beats and due to the realism depicted within Tommy’s lyrics.
- The issue with this is that the sentence assumes that all people within the scene see his albums as pioneering - this is very much a claim that needs to be attributed, as someone may disagree with this and as such, will be subjective to the reader. You also really need reliable sourcing to claim that someone is a pioneer.
- You added an image from Wright's Twitter account. Be aware that this is seen as a copyright issue, as the image doesn't appear to have ever been released under a copyright that would allow it to be posted to Wikimedia Commons. With any images, always assume that the content is copyrighted in a way that would prohibit it from being uploaded to Commons, even if the copyright is missing or the file was uploaded to a public social media site such as Twitter. I would like for you to review the training module on uploading images and media.
I'll see what I can do to help, but this really needs a major overhaul. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:19, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for the feedback, I will look into it more and gather more information. -AugsPalacios227
