CS1 templates
editI noticed this edit which converted a CS1 template {{cite book}} to text. I would like you to know that CS1 templates also support the |author-link=
and |title-link=
parameters which can be used for this (clicking the previous blue link should also point to the template's documentation). CS1 templates are generally preferred, and when an article predominantly uses them, preserving those templates for consistency is advised. They are also technically useful: for instance shortened footnotes using {{sfn}} or {{harvnb}} can be used along with the |harv=
template when multiple pages of a book are eventually cited. Thanks, —PaleoNeonate – 10:13, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
