Your user name

edit

Hello. I have some concerns about your user name, which seems to violate some Wikipedia policies.

Wikipedia doesn't allow companies to own Wikipedia accounts. Their employees can, but companies can't have 'transferrable' accounts that belong to a company. (On the other hand, well done for being honest about your identity.)

In addition, there are some rules regarding conflict of interest issues on Wikipedia, which advises you to declare a COI.

Also, and off-topic, you cannot be serious in saying that you 'created' Nick Drake's posthumous reputation, can you? Blythwood (talk) 04:33, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing, because this account has been used only for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to Wikipedia's content policy. Also, your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is against Wikipedia's policy: an account is for an individual, not a group. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a free advertising service.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of this page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Drmies (talk) 21:13, 28 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Arcana Academy

edit

The article Arcana Academy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

On balance doesn't seem to have notability besides having a weird logo and getting some attention for making its female employees dress up in pervy costumes for the staff photo. A few mentions in lists of active companies in its sector but no sustained coverage. Self-authored article, unsurprisingly.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
