chennai diplomatic missions
editHello Aravind,
Someone had removed your addition of diplomatic missions section to the Chennai article, asking for a discussion about it in the talk page. When this happens, please do not readd the section. Instead, open a discussion in the talk page, describing your rationale for the addition. If consensus is formed among other editors, then you can add the section back. Thanks Sodabottle! I noticed only after re-adding it. Should I revert it back? By the way, it lists the foreign consulates in the city which I find almost in all Chennai Info materials. So thought of adding it (similar to Magati city).Aravindk editing (talk) 06:56, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- You can revert if you feel like it. MikeLynch, the editor who contested the addition is a pretty friendly guy, he wont consider this edit warring or anything. But whether such a list belongs in an encyclopedic article, i cannot decide - on the one hand, it is a very useful list, on the other we might be violating WP:NOTDIR. Give it two or three days to see what others think (that page is watchlisted and frequented by atleast three or four knowledgeable editors, so we will get more opinions)--Sodabottle (talk) 12:01, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
