I've deleted your contributions edit

because they were bogus. And now you are on my shitlist and will always be deleted when found. But feel free to increase the information available on your artist entry on this site. 2601:983:827F:3080:55E:609A:6BEB:AA2A (talk) 15:31, 25 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Welcome! edit

Hello, Anton Cleary, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! May 2021: Wikipedia is not for promotion edit

Please read Wikipedia's policy on promotional intent at WP:NOPROMO.--Quisqualis (talk) 23:45, 4 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Adding my name to the list of notable users of Jackson guitars is not promotional. It is a legitimate entry on a list of musicians who are noted for using Jackson guitars. If in fact I need an article about me on Wikipedia to qualify to get on the list, how can I arrange for this? Please advise. Thanks again. Regards Anton Cleary Anton Cleary (talk) 00:23, 5 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Typically, notable people are written about on Wikipedia by people unconnected to them who happen to think they are notable. If they are in fact notable, and this is demonstrated by the reliable, published, independent sources which are cited in the article, then Wikipedia is likely to accept the article. See Your first article, and read any blue-linked material it may contain, so you understand the process. It's not forbidden to write about yourself, but it rarely succeeds, given that objectivity can be hard to attain in an autobiography.--Quisqualis (talk) 02:31, 5 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

May 2021 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for advertising or promotion.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:42, 5 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I hope this small insight into the world of Wikipedia will help you with your future platform choices for promotion. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:42, 5 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • In my opinion a huge and sarcastic overreaction to me just being honest. Anton Cleary (talk) 00:21, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
You're trying to exploit the labor of a volunteer project, dedicated to the common good, for your personal benefit. If you still can't see that I don't know what to say. EEng 00:26, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Why did you contact me after all this time? Frankly mate, I couldn't care less what you think. Now go away and annoy someone else. Anton Cleary (talk) 00:40, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
I happened to see (somewhere else) your discussion with another editor on this very same topic, and didn't realize it wasn't current; my apologies. That you don't care what other editors think, "mate", is precisely why you're blocked. You might want to consider the following bit of wisdom:

Upon some of Cato's friends expressing their surprise, that while many persons without merit or reputation had statues, he had none, he answered, "I had much rather it should be asked why the people have not erected a statue to Cato, than why they have."
