Welcome!

edit

Hello, Anthonybex, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! You can also just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Dougweller (talk) 06:36, 1 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hi. I don't see any blocks on this account, or indeed any edits from it, and the account was only just created at 18:22, 27 June 2012. Can you please tell us the exact message you get when you try to edit? And also, can you please tell us what account you were using when you "used the files"? -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 19:17, 27 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Eric Charest-Weinberg

edit

As you are clearly affiliated with Charest-Weinberg, you should not be writing the article itself but should ask that it be created by going to WP:Requested articles. Weinberg meets our criteria of notability, so that won't be a problem, although it may take a while for someone to create it. And as it stands, it looks like what it is, a promotional biography, and clearly does not meet our guidelines for biographies. These can be read at MOS:BIO and WP:BLP in particular.

I've read the messages you have been given at simpleWiki and at Commons:User talk:Anthonybex. In the light of this I am deleting your userpage. Again, this is not saying that there can't be a biography or even (perhaps) a separate gallery page, but clearly with different content that meets our guidelines and policies. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia - would you really expect to find an article like the one you wrote in an encyclopedia in your local library?

Look at for instance Mary Boone, Larry Gagosian. Dougweller (talk) 07:09, 1 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Struck my comments about notability as I'm not sure at all now. See WP:PEOPLE. Looking at Google News, there's virtually nothing. If he met our criteria I'd expect good in-depth coverage of him or his gallery in the Miami Herald, for instance. Dougweller (talk) 16:16, 1 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please do not write an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you.--Orange Mike | Talk 12:57, 3 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
