Proposed deletion of Completelynovel

edit

The article Completelynovel has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Promotional article for startup company. Very few ghits. Fails WP:SPAM

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. andy (talk) 12:50, 20 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi! In regard to the above, I don't see the CompletelyNovel article as spam. However, some of the linking you've been doing internally is a tad problematic - while i think it makes sense to link to CompletelyNovel from self-publishing, it is more doubtful to link from Neil Gaiman, as while giving the award to Neil Gaiman is significant to CompletelyNovel, but unless the award is particularly notable (which I don't get the impression it is, yet), then it may not be sufficient in the Neil Gaiman biography. Anyway, the best bet is to skip adding links until after the article goes through the various processes here. And the main thing to do there is to find at least one more significant bit of coverage about the site: your referencing was very much what is needed here, but to remain we need to show that it has had non-trivial coverage in multiple independent reliable sources, and the better the sources the better off it is. Thus any more extended coverage in journals, magazines or newspapers would be great, as it would help pass that condition. Regards, Bilby (talk) 21:15, 20 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Finding more references

Thanks for the advice Bilby. I'm very happy to follow your advice. There are a few more references that I can include so I will put them up. AnnieJay (talk) 08:29, 21 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
