- The data generated by sites like songbpm and tunebat about keys are not created manually by an expert, but run by an algorithm which listens to the music and guesses at the key, with a nontrivial failure rate. - Note that songbpm claims that Dice is in C major, and tunebat lists it as G major. It is in neither C major nor G major; it is in G minor. That should be sufficient to demonstrate that such sites should not be cited, without a method of determining which one is correct, and an expert telling you that neither is correct. I did find sheet music online which has the correct key signature of two flats (i.e., G minor in this case), but these are self-published by fans and me merely knowing that they are correct is not sufficient for me to cite them. - You are welcome to bring this up at WP:RSN, but for now, I'll note that your source for saying this source is unreliable/incorrect is reddit, which is also not a reliable source. You are welcome to present the arguments on reddit in that discussion, of course. I have no dog in this fight, and I don't care whether Tunebat is accepted or not; as an administrator I am concerned with following our guidelines. So, please, take it to RSN and you might be able to argue your case and get Tunebat completely demoted, who knows. There are a ton of citations on Wikipedia to that website. - I will do that (edit: that is, bring up the issue at WP:RSN), but note that I am not interested in reddit; I am trying to help you understand why tunebat is not a good source. Yes, there are many citations to a poor quality site, but "we've always done it that way" is not an argument in favor of using a bad source. What interests me that you are glossing over is that various third party sites list different keys; what is your rationale for preferring one over the other? I am carefully not inserting my original research into the article, instead I am pointing out that various apparently equal quality sources make different claims, and that should be enough for the non-expert to realize that the article should not be making a claim about the key until the issue is resolved. - I don't understand what you are trying to do here, and I'm not sure which of the many strawmen I should deal with first. I didn't say "we've always done it that way". I don't need to understand why Tunebat is not a good source: you need to convince editors to come to a consensus to say it's not a good source. If you are not interested in reddit to help you make that argument, don't bring it up. I am not preferring one over another. The argument in the last sentence hinges on one important premise: that the sources are of apparent equal value. I initially misunderstood what you were saying about reddit, I thought you were telling me to go discuss it on reddit, rather than your intended meaning of encouraging me to bring up the reddit discussion in the proper process of challenging tunebat as a valid source, so I apologize for that. I didn't understand why exactly you stated that many articles cite tunebat, but I'll be open-minded and assume that you were stating it in a neutral way, not intended as a strong argument for its continued use.
