Translating to German

edit

Hi: What they like to do on de.wikipedia is import the article with its entire history to userspace and then move it to mainspace once it's translated and reformatted to suit their conventions. You would need to ask an admin on de.wikipedia about doing that. Alternatively (although they appear to have either a policy or a preference against this when the article will actually be a translation), you could write a new article - if you search on the name over there, you will see that there are a couple of mentions in the histories of the companies it developed out of and was formerly part of, but they are not redlinked and the red link you added at de:Innovationspreis der deutschen Wirtschaft is still waiting to be accepted. That also appears to be your only edit on de., and you gave it an English edit summary; was that a mistake and you usually edit on de. under a different account name, or do you actually not write German very well? (My experience is that edit summaries are quite hard to write in foreign languages.) Because either way, you'll have to do the writing/translating yourself over there, unless they have a process for requesting articles over there. So ... I think you'd better ask a de.wikipedia admin on their talk page over there. Yngvadottir (talk) 14:53, 10 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
