Minor changes edit

Hi; in recent changes to Polyacrylamide you marked the change as minor, which included adding an external link and some text to an existing link. Those aren't normally considered minor changes, I think. Tb (talk) 18:45, 20 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

They aren't? What I did was converting one of the external links embedded in the article into the list of External Links below. The link itself wasn't added by me, as I saw it before I made "minor" changes to the article, so to speak. --Animeronin (talk) 15:51, 21 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
well, it's a judgment call, i suppose, not sure just what the right way is, and i think wikipedia has only a loose definition anyhow. ;) Tb (talk) 18:16, 21 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ah, I see. Thanks for bringing this up to me. I'm still unsure as well. :) --Animeronin (talk) 05:13, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well done! :) edit

I must say that putting Motoi Sakuraba's discography into a table is a whole lot neater. Great idea! Squaretex (talk) 18:33, 18 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the complement. When I first looked at Motoi Sakuraba's discography, the list is very long, and would lengthen the size of the article to an estimated guess of more than 50 kB. That's why I've thought of the converting it to wikitable form. Makes it easier on the eyes, and more digestible content. :) --Animeronin (talk) 16:49, 24 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Here to help articles tagged for rescue!

Hi, Animeronin, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles that have been tagged for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, ergo fixable and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 17:21, 14 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for September 4 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of xxxHolic characters, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ayakashi (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:48, 4 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the notification. I was merely redirecting the term in the aforemention character list to a inlink, which unfortunately as you said was intended as a disambiguation page. I apologize for the error, and will remove the inlink, leaving it as simply text.

Medical ethics edit

I reverted your edit in Medical ethics in which you replaced two text line breaks with two HTML line breaks. The displayed effect is basically the same but it's much easier to understand with wikitext. Please reserve HTML for situations where wikitext doesn't cut it. Thanks. The word "fuck" in the Sexual intercourse article edit

In case you haven't seen it yet, I replied on my talk page. If you reply there, I may reply there again; the reply will be there instead of on your talk page. Flyer22 (talk) 17:17, 15 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Bolding terms edit

Hello again, Animeronin. Back in February, I saw this and this edit you made, and I meant to tell you then that we generally aren't supposed to bold in those places. See WP:MOSBOLD. Now that we've interacted, I decided that I might as well let you know about that guideline now.

Anyway, I'll see you around. Take care. Flyer22 (talk) 02:00, 16 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Another thing: In that first instance, the Human female reproductive system article, it looks like you were just copying what you saw in that article and then applied the same format to the Human male reproductive system article; I can't really blame you for that. Flyer22 (talk) 02:06, 16 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
My mistake, I honestly admit. Thank you very much! Animeronin (talk) 10:12, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Invite to the African Destubathon edit

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most geography, wildlife and women articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 55 African countries, so should be enjoyable! Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African wildlife articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance. If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing any article related to a topic you often work on, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Might be a good way to work on fleshing out articles you've long been meaning to target and get rewarded for it! Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:52, 13 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

References edit

Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them). WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN. We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia.
