Image copyright problem with Image:Andrew_crofts.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Andrew_crofts.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Gills players' statistics edit

You do a stirling job of keeping these up to date, but according to [Template_talk:Infobox_Football_biography], this stat should only count league matches, so I'm afraid today's updates were inappropriate. Kevin McE 21:35, 11 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Museum of Kent Life edit

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Museum of Kent Life, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Museum of Kent Life. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Age edit

There's a proper template for doing age/date of birth, namely {{birth date and age}}. It even recalculates itself automatically so that you don't have to remember to change it every time a player has a birthday. I'll go through and apply the template to all the Gills' players' articles tomorrow, right now I'm off to bed.... ChrisTheDude 23:06, 23 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Gills photos edit

When uploading images, is there any possibility that you could crop them to show only the subject in question? The image you just added to Sean Clohessy shows five different people, and there's nothing to indicate which one is actually Clohessy (I think it's the one on the far right - am I correct.....?). Cheers! -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 10:40, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Further, please consider the possibility that the encyclopaedic content of articles on Gills players is not necessarily enhanced by having lots of photos of you. Kevin McE (talk) 14:01, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Andy

If you want the image to remain on WP (and I'm sure you do, you need to add a copyright tag to it. If you took it, and are happy to release it into the public domain, then edit the image page to add {{GFDL-self}}. Let me know via my talk page if you need any help with doing this...... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 08:53, 2 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Scally image edit

Hi Andy

I notice that you've got a couple of pictures on Flickr of Scally with the play-off trophy - would it be possible to add one to WP (with an appropriate license) as the existing image in his article looks almost certain to be deleted.

Cheers! -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 08:04, 3 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Nice one! Please could you add the same licensing info as on the Barry Fuller image, however, otherwise this one will end up getting deleted. Cheers!!! -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 12:17, 3 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:Paul_Scally_with_Playoff_trophy.JPG edit

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Paul_Scally_with_Playoff_trophy.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Chris G Bot (talk) 00:09, 11 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Scally image - URGENT!!!! edit

Andy, please could you add the same licensing info to the Scally image as you put on the Barry Fuller one, otherwise it will get deleted in sbout four days time.

Cheers! -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 08:35, 14 July 2009 (UTC) How do you do that?Reply

Simply edit the image and add the following two lines:

==Licensing==

{{Multilicense replacing placeholder}}

File source problem with File:Barryfullerliftingplayofftrophy.JPG edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Barryfullerliftingplayofftrophy.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:32, 24 August 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 17:32, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

club-update parameter in infobox footballer biography edit

Hi Andysteve. Per Template:Infobox football biography, the "club-update" should be filled with "A timestamp at which the player's infobox club statistics are correct", which can be generated by typing ~~~~~ when updating the information. Please do not replace such timestamps with bare ambiguous dates, as you did at Deon Burton with this edit. Thanks, C679 12:37, 22 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Andy, your edits are against consensus and if you continue they could be interpreted as disruptive - this may result in a temporary block being places on your account. GiantSnowman 17:33, 22 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
Hi, could you keep in mind that five tildes (~~~~~) should be used for dates, rather than manually writing it out. Mattythewhite (talk) 18:16, 15 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Emmanuel Osadebe edit

Hello, Andysteve. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Emmanuel Osadebe, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Emmanuel Osadebe to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, JamesG5 (talk) 10:09, 16 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
