Danny Griffin edit

Just wondering why you removed "Belfast" from Danny Griffin's intro when you included it in Jeff Spiers' - Dudesleeper / Talk 19:07, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Right, but the infobox is a summary of information that should but doesn't always (a player's clubs, for example) appear in the main text; it's not for standalone information. - Dudesleeper / Talk 17:24, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Jim Semple edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Jim Semple. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jim Semple. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello Andygray110! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 7 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 941 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Billy Hamilton (footballer) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

January 2010 edit

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of previously published material to our articles as you apparently did to Crusaders F.C.. Please cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. BigDunc 16:40, 25 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Take out the flags if you want. But don't remove the links to pages that I've spent time creating please. Andygray110 (talk) 16:45, 25 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Why do you keep adding them? I have shown you the link to explain why they don't go in, you said you understood and then added them back twice. BigDunc 16:48, 25 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'm not adding the flags now. But don't remove the links to the pages I've created, that's all. Andygray110 (talk) 16:49, 25 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

My apologies, I see you are adding them as I got an {{edit conflict}} when I tried to add them back. BigDunc 16:56, 25 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
No problem. By the way, there's no ulterior motive for me adding flags other than that's the way I thought all football articles were supposed to be. Sorry for giving you the runaround! ;) Andygray110 (talk) 16:58, 25 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Players from Northern Ireland are in a different situation than a lot of other footballers in that they can play for both NI or ROI by birth, so to pick one when the player was never capped is original research. Well done on the creation of the articles keep up the good work. BigDunc 17:02, 25 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Speedy deletion nomination of Timmy Adamson edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Timmy Adamson, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 03:53, 9 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
