Peer Review
editThe article "Chicana Feminism" has a lot of solid information, but more could be added. The article has very strong sources and covers many different areas within Chicana Feminism. Furthermore, there is a lot of structure, and the article is well panned out. Improvement could start with fixing sentence structure and phrasing within the article. Some sentences are difficult to read and other give off hints of bias. Next, organizing the whole page into subsections (like the arts for music, literature, and art) would help the flow of information. Also, the overview section could be organized and expanded on. Much of the information doesn’t follow continuation and seems somewhat random. Adding contemporary work on Chicana Feminism would also help bring in newer ideas into the page. Try expanding the lead section too, if possible, the section doesn’t preview much within the article. Additionally, pictures would help make the article visually pleasing. Overall, the article is underdeveloped. There are many sections and a lot of information, but these sections are complete and much of the information is not cited or was choppy when implemented. Although, the article does include further readings and lists of notable people and organization linking readers to good sources.Lmf9 (talk) 06:32, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
Peer Review
editBecause the sandbox currently does not have any edits to the original article, the following peer review will be about the original article “Chicana Feminism.” The article has several sections that organize the information very well. The sections however, are all subsections of the overview main section. The other sections should all be their own sections rather than being nested subsections of Overview. Although the article uses up to date and strong sources, the citations to the information do not flow well sometimes, making the article a bit more difficult to read. The lead section could also be improved on, as it does not really give an overview of the main topics of the article. Additional images could be added to enhance the article as well, especially in the Chicana art section. Images can help make the topic “feel more real” to the readers rather than some abstract concept that isn’t happening in the real world. Throughout the article, there are also some parts that allude towards bias. Rewriting those sections to be more neutral or acknowledging that bias and presenting the opposite side as well could be used to fix this problem. Hbnh1 (talk) 00:10, 9 December 2021 (UTC)
