Article choices
editHi! I saw that you picked Nicki Minaj as an article topic. I want to caution you about this article, as it's a Good Article, which means that it's one of the best on Wikipedia. What this means for you is that it's going to be far more difficult for you to find content to contribute to the article, as Good Articles are considered to be fairly comprehensive and well sourced. There's also an issue of this article being fairly high profile, which in turn means that there are a lot of people that would normally watch the article along with people who may watch the article because it's a Good Article.
I would recommend that you instead look for an article on a female musician whose article needs work, of which there are sadly many. For example, the article on Asian Doll is pretty much a stub despite her being the first female artist to be signed to Gucci Mane's 1017 Records. There's also Sofia Ashraf, an Indian rapper and singer who addresses corporate negligence, particularly as it pertains to ecology. There's also actress Ta'Rhonda Jones, who also raps. - One other note - the article doesn't have to be a biography. If there's an article on a song, album, or other concept that needs work then that would be a good idea as well! I would aim for articles that need more work done on them as opposed to articles that are already pretty comprehensive, as there's more potential there to help close the gender gap by working on articles that need work.
