Hi. How are you doing? You call our language "farsi" while writing in English. "Farsi" is the native name for this language while Persian is its international equivalent just as, for example, the native names for the German and Greek languages are Deutsch and Hellenika, while they are never used in English. Using another name for our language damages the fame, prestige and the history of our language greatly. Thanks for reading my message. Take care. --Mani1 18:52, 20 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I'm trying to determine the copyright status of this image: File:Blindowl.jpg

It is one of Sadegh Hedayat's original illustrations for "The Blind Owl", right? I'm pretty sure the text of the work itself is still under copyright; do you know if this illustration is too? (I found it here on this page, but I don't know enough French...) Thanks! Junkyardprince | Tark 05:16, 28 Mar 2005 (UTC)

edit
The image you uploaded, Image:Bozorgalavi.jpg, has no source information. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. Unless the copyright status is provided, the image will be marked for deletion on 24 October 2005.
