JFK speech edit

Hey, I thought I'd put this here, since it's off-topic for Talk:Earthquake prediction. I listened to that JFK speech, and did a little searching. I found the full text of his speech here [1], and I noticed that the Jesuits are not mentioned at all. The speech was given before the American Newspaper Publishers Association. In it, JFK is comparing freedom of the press in the United States to that of the Soviet Union. Howicus (talk) 20:44, 9 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. If you keep reading though, you'll find yet more useful information such as on the role of the Jesuits in designing communism. Too many references to list, really. Aminidi (talk) 21:07, 9 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Then list just three or four of the best sources. If your best isn't good enough, it doesn't matter how much junk you have. ~ J. Johnson (JJ) (talk) 23:07, 12 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
You're at a wrong address. Besides, I don't feel like taking orders, especially those ordering me to do some work. That disturbingly resembles slavery as done by Romans and nurtured by the Church so, unfortunately for you, I don't work (research) for free... That also disturbingly resembles the Inquisition so, again unfortunately for you, I don't like being questioned either. Oh look, it's 21st century already... Sources? But this is the source of all sources, why would I need to pick somebody's brains to know what JFK said when I can read and listen to it? For example: how come JFK doesn't mention word communism in his speech once, in which, as you claim, he warns us against communism? Wouldn't he want his USSR enemy to hear his voice loud and clear? And why would he refer to communism as "monolithic"? Communists were never able to fetch more than 10% of the mankind (China absent). And why would he warn us about "covert means" when communist propaganda was louder than Hitler's? He was obviously not referring to communism. I'm not even going to ask you about your sources, because I'm reading/listening to it first hand. And so should you. Aminidi (talk) 22:22, 15 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Ok, obviously neither of us is going to change our view of this speech, so I don't think I'll continue this discussion. Howicus (talk) 22:26, 15 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
There is no room for discussion. It's a speech in which JFK mentions neither Jesuits nor communists. Except it's more likely that he meant Jesuits, if you'll read the above obvious points I made. Aminidi (talk) 23:29, 15 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

July 2013 edit

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living persons, as you did to Cory Monteith. Thank you. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 00:18, 16 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

That was a possible indication of death causes; I see no problem providing this sort of information as many find it extremely valuable, including many in law enforcement. For a reason though, as I see it now, some don't like such useful information in current events - go figure. Aminidi (talk) 00:40, 16 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
There is absolutely no evidence to support the claim. Zero. We don't defame individuals or groups in articles by calling them murderers based on fringe theories. Flat Out let's discuss it 00:53, 16 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Hm, it took me about three quarters of an hour to actually read the page, and I'm an average person. So I'd say you didn't even bother reading what you're dismissing here, given how fast you passed that comment. That's just sad. Please don't talk to me until you actually read what you're trying to belittle here, and definitely not until you have valuable insights and points to discuss, if any. Aminidi (talk) 01:01, 16 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
The fact that a self-published source alleges murder, is a breach of WP:BLP. I don't need to read any further. It's pretty simple really. Flat Out let's discuss it 01:05, 16 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
I see. And you also know it's self-published by not reading it. Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? Aminidi (talk) 01:09, 16 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
I am taking this page off my watchlist. I will leave it to third party editors to determine who is being ridiculous here. Flat Out let's discuss it 01:12, 16 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
You threw the towel in. A good decision. Aminidi (talk) 01:18, 16 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
No, he just doesn't see any basis of discussion with someone who is appears to be totally and willfully clueless of fundamental Wikipedia policies (including civility), whose statements are often illogical and absurd (do you know that word?), and who has yet to make any useful contributions. I agree with him. ~ J. Johnson (JJ) (talk) 23:15, 18 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
