Speedy deletion of Burn Notice (season 3)

"250px" is the size of the picture in pixels and the "thumb" command turns it into a thumbnail photo which can be captioned. The setting you had at 350 px made for a slightly too large photo, so a quick keystroke shrunk it down. Very nice picture, by the way. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:12, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Hello! Well, to begin with, you have additional "tools" available to you which allow you to delete and block unnecessary content and to block problem accounts. As far as my conduct, I'm held to the same standard as any other user, so there really isn't an "elite corps" of users. We're all in this together...and what Wikipedia giveth, Wikipedia taketh away. If my conduct is poor, I can lose the admin rights. To qualify, you should have about three months of editing under your belt; I don't recall the number of edits to the edit space you'd be expected to have. You should also try and contribute to a featured article, which I did before I was nominated. Keep on working to create good, original contributions. Yeah, they sure are blank. They're easy to add. What you do is to press the button on the toolbar on the far right when you're in edit mode. You'll see this:

The line about the non-formatted text is highlighted so that you can paste a web address to it. Skip a line after the address and you can add some text. Add this to the bottom of the text near the bottom of the page:

A picture i took of a copyrighted work

I was talking to an admin and he doesn't know the answer to this. So, here is my question: Is this picture I took with my cell phone camera of my copy of Denis Leary's book Why We Suck OK to use on Wikipedia? I think I added the appropriate tag. The filename of the image I uploaded is File:Whywesuckcover.jpg (new user and can't figure out how to link to the image) Thanks for the help! Amicianthony (talk) 23:32, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

• In the relevant article it's okay to use, but it would still be fair use since you're reproducing a copyrighted work. Rule of thumb: If the thing you photograph is copyrighted (book or image), the resulting image is still copyrighted. (edit conflict)A better place to ask this question is WP:MCQ. That said: in general, book covers in articles about the book fall squarely within the non-free content criteria. You might want to use the template {{Book cover fur}} to generate the fair-use rationale. The only problem I can see with the image is that, being taken by a mobile phone, it isn't a very high-quality image. If you have access to a scanner, a scan of the book cover would be much better.
