Manchester edit

Hello and welcome edit

Hello, it seems you've been with us for some time yet nobody has welcomed you, which I'm really sorry about. Allow me to post the standard Wiki welcome template, which you may (or may not) find of use...

Welcome!

Hello, Alun009, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome!

...it seems you've done some good work so far, and are keen on improving articles about Manchester. You may wish to join the Greater Manchester WikiProject which is a page dedicated to the improvement and promotion of Greater Manchester related articles, and a space to discuss ideas (we need quality members all the time!).

I think you've got the right approach to the main Manchester photograph and will try to support you all the way. Any questions, feel free to ask on my talk page. Jza84 23:31, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Not a problem to welcome you at all! In addition to your work for the photograph, you may also wish to pass comment in this section of the Manchester talk page. Jza84 12:05, 9 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your comments - I really appreciated your input. I'm still having problems with the user in question, and thus have asked for a fifth opinion on this! Once consensus is established and it is possible to demonstrate this contributor, I'll seek advise from an administrator. Jza84 20:26, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

i'm a bit confused edit

Thanks for creating my user page I think?!?!?! I think you might need to ask the user first before you do it, because some might get a bit angry.

Sorry If I sounded angry before, I was just in a bit of a bad mood. Like the work you are doing (this is Wjs13's IP, sometimes I don't log in

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ESR screen shot.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:ESR screen shot.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 08:42, 26 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification edit

Hi. When you recently edited Verdens Lykkeligste Mand, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Danish and Chorus (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
