Your edits at Robert Montgomery (physician)
editAs an apparently brand new editor, you are probably not the best person to be responding to requested editors by conflict of interest editors. You do not seem to have checked that the sources provided correctly verified the proposed content, nor have you correctly responded to the edit request on the talk page. Please take some time to understand and learn wikipedia's policies before undertaking this kind of editing to avoid these problems in future. It would also be helpful if you could clarify whether you have any relationship with the subject of the article that you have chosen to edit in this way, as this kind of editing as your first work on wikipedia is very unusual. Hello, as mentioned below I do not have any affiliations with Dr Robert Montgomery nor any of his relatives or friends. What would qualify someone to respond to a requested edit by a conflict of interest editor? I apologize for not correctly responding to the proposed edits but I did reach through the provided citations and deemed them acceptable. (Alexander Stonewall (talk) 05:07, 4 December 2018 (UTC))
- What would be helpful would be if you took some time to read through wikipedia's policies, maybe get familiar with editing here by working on some non-controversial things like grammar, adding content in stubs or short examples etc, before you wade into the fairly contested space of conflict of interest editing. You say you read through the provided citations and deemed them acceptable, but numbers of them did not actually verify or even refer to the specific content they were being used to support. This means you have not clearly understood one of wikipedia's basic principles. Thanks, Melcous (talk) 05:36, 4 December 2018 (UTC)

editHello, Alexander Stonewall. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Robert Montgomery (physician), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Spintendo 12:31, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
Hello and thank you for welcoming me, I am not affiliated with Robert Montgomery or any close relatives or friends. I am an unemployed college student. I am saw this request listed in the proposed edits section and wanted to contribute. I looked through the sources and they seemed to verify the relevant statement. Warning
editHello, Alexander Stonewall, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Ghavindeonarain (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 04:47, 7 December 2018 (UTC)
Sockpuppet investigation
editAn editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ghavindeonarain, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
