Thank you.
The article London Undead has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 14:11, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of London Undead
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on London Undead requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Catfish Jim & the soapdish 17:25, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with London Undead. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion, which will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 17:30, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
- Your band probably doesn't meet the inclusion (notability) guidelines - it is very new and has only released one (self-published) album. In fact, it is generally recommended that users do not create articles about themselves, their bands, or similar closely related subjects - see the conflict of interest guidelines. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 17:36, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Alex. Several administrators have checked the article, done some background research on Londo Undead, and found it to be not suitable for the encyclopedia. Also, If your band were sufficiently important, other people would have written extensively about it in leading national newspapers, and already created a Wikipedia about it. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia - so it's not like MySpace, FaceBook, or BlogSpot, where you can write what you like about your yourself, your band, or your favourite subject. Articles have to pass a number of citeria before they can be included. For bands, this means having been around for a long time, produced by established labels, and been in the big charts. When it's done all that, it must be proven. Some Wikiedia pages you can read to find out how to do this are listed in the welcome message above. Other pages you must read are WP:BAND, WP:RS, and WP:V. Good luck! Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 21:45, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
