The one sentence addition two days ago to the French Connection page, crediting the origin and first use of the term for the Sabres hockey line, is accurate and completely verifiable, if necessary, from a number of sources in Buffalo and specifically at WKBW TV. For whatever reason, it was deleted the next day by a contributor named Tony the Tiger. It is now restored. 71.99.207.212 (talk) 09:42, 14 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps the person who twice deleted my addition to the French Connection hockey line, crediting the creation of the name for the line, might provide some rationale for such deletion. The addition is accurate. Unless the deleter has something to share, he or she should please leave it alone.````

I am the deleter. You have added this content multiple times without providing a WP:RS as a WP:IC. Thus, the claim is unable to be WP:V. Do not readd without adding an inline citation from a reliable source.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:08, 16 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Forgive the gap in time here. I can have verification from Mr Azar himself, and from his fellow Ch 7 Buffalo anchors Irv Weinstein and Tom Jolls. How do you suggest I need to show verification? As you might expect, I know not the ins and outs of Wikipedia contributing and editing. alanezAlanez5011 (talk) 02:22, 30 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

As of April 5, 2022, I have reached out to a competing editor, BobBuffalo, on the topic of who named the French Connection hockey line. He perhaps hasn't seen my effort to discuss this or maybe has chosen to ignore it since I have not had a reply. I have corroboration for my statements in the article with citations. I will edit the French Connerction hockey line article again, with citations, suggesting essentially that competing versions could both be right. If it is changed again without discussion, I will be forced to seek Wikipedia dispute resolution. One of several citations is <ref> Tales from Azar's Attic /wiki/File:Azar_book_on_French_Connection.pdf<ref>Alanez5011 (talk) 16:49, 7 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
