Citing sources

edit

  I have already explained on a different occasion that you should cite sources without any modification to their original title. In Ikan bakar, you have added a promotional source (not really reliable as a source for an encyclopedia), but changed the original title "Rekomendasi Bumbu Ikan Bakar Khas Indonesia" to "Bumbu Ikan bakar sebagai makanan khas indonesia, "Ikan bakar". Please refrain from such modifications, especially when you insist upon the source for your claim that grilled fish is an Indonesian creation. –Austronesier (talk) 16:56, 16 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

  Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Ikan bakar, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Austronesier (talk) 13:38, 19 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, I'm Utcursch. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Idli, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. utcursch | talk 15:36, 20 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop adding unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did on Ikan bakar. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the website of a beach resort hardly qualifies as a reliable source. Further, it is essential that sources explicitly support the claim you want to add to the page, i.e. that "Ikan bakar" solely originates from Indonesia.   You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Javanese people; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.Austronesier (talk) 06:26, 27 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

well fine, I'm just defending the "truth" BAMBANG! :::@Austronesier: Alam Bashari (talk) 08:13, 27 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Austronesier: Alam Bashari (talk) 08:14, 27 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Read this: WP:Truth. It is not a policy, only an essay. But in any case, it might help you to present your case properly, or eventually to drop it if you cannot back it up with reliable sources.

Another thing: being from a "very far country" does not exclude that an editor is capable to contribute to Indonesia-related topics. And likewise, being from Indonesia is no guarantee that an editor will make meaningful contributions to Wikipedia about Indonesia-related topics. On numerous occasions, editors unfortunately have proven the opposite, in extreme cases resulting in being blocked. Please respect the last warning, if your edit behavior does not change, I will report you to the admins' noticeboard. –Austronesier (talk) 09:25, 27 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
