Welcome! edit

Hello, Aishwarya889, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Feedback edit

Nice work on your article draft. I noticed that you are listing your references at the end, rather than including them in the text. Although I realise that you're still in the drafting process, I think it's helpful to add inline references as you write. That way they're there when you're done, and you're never left wondering where you got any given piece of information from. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 12:27, 5 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

I took another look at your draft. A few issues you still need to iron out
  • You need to do a careful copy edit. There are spaces before commas and periods that shouldn't be there. Make sure that references are after punctuation, not before.
  • You need to create a lead section for the article. Take look at the Editing Wikipedia handout (you should have gotten a hard copy from your instructor, but I'm including a link to it here).
  • You need to make sure that everything is properly supported by a reference. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:37, 14 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
