Image copyright problem with Image:Kai Tak Airport Circa 1945.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Kai Tak Airport Circa 1945.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sdrtirs (talk) 22:33, 29 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I can not prove this item was published prior to 1945, but I know for a fact that the second runway was destroyed by the Japanese during WWII. So, the document has to be older than the war placing it well into the 50 years or older public license. The chart was either made by the Hong Kong government itself via the British government or via the the British government for the now defunct British Overseas Airways BOAC, who stopped flying under that name in 1946. You can see what looks like the BOAC name in the upper right. airboyd (talk) 22:18, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Celebrations for 2nd Anniversary of Wikimedia Hong Kong edit

An exciting opportunity to improve yourself! edit

As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Since this contest is just beginning, please give feedback here, or let me know what you think on my talkpage. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 05:47, 21 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
