Proposed deletion of 11th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver

edit

The article 11th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not even a link to Dr. Who, if that's what it's talking about.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- mitchsurp -- (talk) 00:47, 13 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your contributed article, Christmas Special 2010

edit

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Christmas Special 2010. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - List of Doctor Who serials. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List of Doctor Who serials - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Maccy69 (talk) 19:47, 18 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Verifiability

edit

Hi. Before you write any more articles, please read WP:Your first article carefully. One of the things that make Wikipedia an encyclopedia rather than a fan forum or a blog is that our articles should only be about facts which are verifiable from reliable sources. Rumours have no place here. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 21:03, 18 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to the page Market Kitchen. Blank pages can confuse readers, and are overall not helpful to the Wikipedia project; furthermore, blanking a page is not the same as deleting it.

If the article you blanked is a duplicate of another article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate revision. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please use the appropriate deletion process.   The recent edit you made to the page Market Kitchen has been reverted, as it removed all content from the page without explanation. Please do not do this, as it is considered vandalism; use the sandbox for testing. If you think the page should be deleted, see this page for instructions. Thank you. LordPistachio talk 20:14, 20 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello! To add to what Lord Pistachio has said, a couple of things you may want to look at, in relation to your blanking of Market Kitchen: the ownership of articles; and the manual of style for television articles. Also it really is worth looking at the your first article guidelines. All the best. Maccy69 (talk) 07:36, 21 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Honestly, stop blanking that page. You created it, I improved the article, that's the way Wikipedia works. If you have further improvements to make then edit the article. But throwing a childish fit because someone changed an article you wrote and continually blanking the page will eventually just get you a ban, which would be pointless and a bit sad. And the blankings are going to be reverted within a few minutes anyway, Wikipedia flags up page blankings and there are loads of editors keeping an eye out for them.   Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Market Kitchen, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you.   Please do not assume ownership of articles such as Market Kitchen. If you aren't willing to allow your contributions to be edited extensively or be redistributed by others, please do not submit them. Thank you. Maccy69 (talk) 00:11, 7 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Market Kitchen. There is a Manual of Style that should be followed. Thank you. Maccy69 (talk) 00:11, 7 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia. However, please know that editors do not own articles and should respect the work of their fellow contributors on Market Kitchen.   This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at The Big Bang (Doctor Who), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. magnius (talk) 16:45, 19 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of 2010 Christmas special

edit

A tag has been placed on 2010 Christmas special requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Bihco (talk) 07:41, 20 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from 2010 Christmas special, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Bihco (talk) 07:43, 20 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your editing privileges have been indefinitely suspended

edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for repeated abuse of editing privileges. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

I have taken the view that your continued disruption, despite many efforts to make you aware of WP practice and policy, is vandalism and have therefore blocked you indefinitely. LessHeard vanU (talk) 13:31, 20 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
