Speedy deletion nomination of Burnnie

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Burnnie, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Burnnie and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Pdcook (talk) 03:15, 12 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Burnnie

edit

The article Burnnie has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable local television show. Claims of 150 million viewers cannot be verified.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Recent changes

edit

In this series of edits you added the "fact" that the Burnnie series has won a GMA Dove Award. I have searched the Dove Awards website and find no corroboration of that fact. You also added several items in the "references" section that were not, in fact, references. One was a link to a site that had copied the Living Stones article; one reference to that article is sufficient. The second was a link to the show's official website, which has already been provided under the "External links" section. The rest were simply phrases without links at all. I have reverted all of these changes. For assertions of facts such as awards, proper citations are required. If you can find a source that verifies the show's Dove Award, please provide it. Plea to keep Burnnie

edit

I have responded to your plea on Talk:Burnnie. I should point out to you that, under the guidelines for the deletion process at Wikipedia, you are free to remove the proposed deletion tag from the article. If you do so without providing better evidence of notability, the article will likely be nominated for deletion through the WP:Articles for deletion process, which will allow a broad collection of opinions to be expressed to determine the consensus of the Wikipedia community. I don't believe the article will fare well under that process, but it will allow for my voices than just mine to be heard. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:58, 15 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Burnnie

I have nominated Burnnie, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Burnnie. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Speedy deletion nomination of Burnnie

A tag has been placed on Burnnie, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I had to delete Burnnie

edit

Hello,

I regret to say that I have deleted this page that you created, Burnnie, because it does not meet our basic inclusion guidelines. Please do not take this personally or as a reflection on your capabilities as an editor. If the article I deleted was not a copyright infringement, then you may ask me to provide you a copy of the deleted page to work on in your own space, which I will simply move the deleted page to User:Agememnon/Burnnie. There you can work on the page until the issues are resolved. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. Thank you, MuZemike 21:59, 23 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

It was already deleted per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Burnnie. Please do not recreate the page without addressing the issues behind the deletion first. If you want a draft in your own space to work on, I can help you out with that. Also, look at other similar pages on Wikipedia to see how an article is supposed to be written, formatting, etc. Thank you, MuZemike 21:59, 23 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Burnnie

edit

A tag has been placed on Burnnie, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

I told you not to recreate the page again, and you did. I now have to choice but to delete the page again and prevent that page from being recreated in the mainspace. MuZemike 22:02, 23 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
