Lapdog journalism
editHi, I received a notice about your page on lapdog journalism and saw that it was moved to Draft:Lapdog journalism by El cid, el campeador, with the note "Not ready for mainspace". It looks like this was done at least in part because the page lacks coverage to show where this term is notable. Something to be careful of with terms, especially anything created in the last 20 or so years, is that it isn't a WP:NEOLOGISM and has plenty of coverage to show where the term is being used by multiple people over a long period of time - in other words, you need to show a depth of coverage. You will also need to show how it differs from watchdog journalism and show how it would merit its own page instead of being covered in a subsection in the watchdog journalism's article. (IE, you need to show that this is more than a reaction to the idea of watchdog media.) I'm not terribly worried about you being able to find coverage to show where it's independently notable and not a neologism, but you can't rely on the topic being seen as notable without sourcing to establish this.
One of the issues with moving work live is that there's an expectation that the work will already meet the minimum guidelines for articles as far as notability and content goes and if not, that this will be very quickly rectified after the article is created (ie, within an hour or so). I can personally recommend creating the article first in your userspace or in the draftspace, as this gives you more time to work on the article at your leisure and isn't as likely to be quickly deleted due to notability or content guidelines. - Thank you - for the record, the page looked like this when I moved it to the draft space. Rather than nominate it for deletion, I decided to move it to the draft space. It could have just as easily been moved to your user space - it's nothing against the topic (I don't know enough), but the article was certainly unfit at that time.
