Women scientists
Thanks Afernand for your contributions to our editathon on Women scientists. You're doing a great job with Argelia Velez-Rodriguez, Ángela Jeria and all your redirects. From your user page it looks as if you live in Belgium and have full command of French and Spanish. Hope you will stick with us. Did you take the great photo of Asturias on your user page or do you have special association with Sotres?--Ipigott (talk) 18:46, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
- Ipigott It is my pleasure. I really like this editathon. I am humbly trying to fill in two gaps: the coverage of women scientist and the coverage of non-English speaking scientists in ENWP. I do live in Belgium where I am helping building Wikimedia Belgium as member of the board. I didn't take the picture of Sotres myself but I know the region of the Picos de Europa, where Sotres lies. --Afernand74 (talk) 16:07, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
- Sounds great! I live in Luxembourg and have also been trying to extend the English wiki to better coverage of non-English speakers. If you know of any Belgian women scientists (or other non-English speakers) who deserve to be covered, please add them to Wikipedia:WikiProject_Women/Women_in_Red/Women_science_and_technology.--Ipigott (talk) 16:25, 10 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
