about context

edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions. I have tagged one of your articles with the {{context}} tag. As you suggested, indeed, I am not much familliar with the subject matter. However, I couldn't particularly find out what Plesiocystiscina actualy is. After closer examination, I found out a little more, clicking on the links of the family tree. It would be a good idea for the article, to have a little more introduction, so that any reader, even one who is not an expert on the subject, may quickly discover what the article is about. Don't take the comment as an insult. There is no need for you in particular to provide more of an introduction (though you are welcome to do so!). As this is Wikipedia, any editor can help improve an article, someone may come along who writes an introduction with this article, because the tag is placed. I hope I haven't scared you away from editing, as all edits are welcome in building the encyclopedia. I cincerely hope you do decide to stick around, and if you have any questions or comments, you can always leave a note on my talkpage. Martijn Hoekstra 14:48, 21 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm glad to see you returned to editing, I hope I haven't left a too bitter aftertaste with you. If you think I am making mistakes, or could do things better, you can always leave a note on my talkpage, and I will certainly take it into account! Martijn Hoekstra 23:35, 22 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wiki markup

edit

On an unrelated note, I noticed that you used anchor tags. These tags are not supported by wikipedia. Instead, it has it's own markup (follow this link to find out more about wikimarkup), where it borrows some, but not all tags from HTML, and has its own tags and conventions, intended to simplify editing. References on Cystiscus

edit

Hi Adviso, I was working on your article on Cystiscus, and I noticed that you give a great deal of extremely detailed information, which is great, but you do not list any references at all for the info. Pleas, if you wouldn't mind, we really do need for there to be at least a reference or more than one reference listed at the bottom of the article. That is a Wikipedia guideline -- it enables people to go to the source to check the info or to find more info. (Also it makes it possible to make sure that the info is not copied verbatim from a copyrighted source.)

Thanks for your work! best wishes, Invertzoo 14:51, 30 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I really dont know how the answer matter works :o). Not possible hunting with dog let´s hunt with cat.
I'll add with time references, when exist, to the subject to clear doubts about possible copied verbatim.

Olá Luis! nice to see this article on Marginellidae, I just corrected a typo somewhere. I'm still learning my way around wiki editing and started my contributions with the much simpler Wikispecies, check out my contributions over there (where I link to your articles over here). I think we'll be able to cooperate beautifully in this. Paulino Pjsouza 12:12, 1 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

References on Gibberula

edit

Hello Adzivo, Are you new here? If so, then welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you stick around! I wanted to say please, that your articles really do need to have references or at least one reference, because the info in this encyclopedia needs to be verifiable. I am currently working on your article on Gibberula. Anyway, thanks for your hard work, Invertzoo 13:40, 2 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Serrata (gastropod)

edit

Hello Adzivo, Can you please explain what you mean by wrong WoRMS information removed here? They are proper deep links to the respective species. Thanks. Ganeshk (talk) 17:54, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I understand that you changed the authority on those lines. Can you add references for your changes? Ganeshk (talk) 18:58, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have added ansp references. Ganeshk (talk) 19:21, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

sorry, only now I´ve looged to wiki.
see you already add correct references to subject in question
somehow, someone at WoRMS add wrong references to these descriprions.
correct ones are in fact in a NOVAPEX 3(4): 119-126, but the authors are Wakefield and McCleery. Boyer didn't cooperate on this work.
if you need a scan on 1st page, to comprove, we can reach a way to digitally delivery to you.
sorry this language mess, hope you understand, but english is not my native language.

Thank you for uploading File:Serrata Jousseaume.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:12, 4 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
