Hello, Adarw, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like CxQL, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

Thank you.

Proposed deletion of CxQL edit

The article CxQL has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable product; unsourced

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. File source problem with File:Checkmarx Logo.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Checkmarx Logo.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:15, 10 October 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 05:15, 10 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Looks fine - I've deleted the first uploads as they're oversized & the last one is a good size. Skier Dude (talk) 08:45, 11 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
References look pretty good - the only thing I noticed right off is that the last two items in the "see also" should be in the "external links" section. Another link you might add is to the end of the "programming language supported..." to a link to the site that lists them. Skier Dude (talk) 08:55, 11 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Security Innovation edit

I saw that the product names were listed in the infobox to the side, and that seemed appropriate to me. I was trying to clean up the article because it seemed possible that the entire article could be marked as spam, and it's not at all clear that the article as a whole could survive a request for deletion -- see WP:Notability_(organizations_and_companies)#Primary_criteria, and note especially that "Trivial or incidental coverage of a subject by secondary sources is not sufficient to establish notability." Note also WP:Notability_(organizations_and_companies)#cite_note-selfpromotion-1, if applicable. -- Afiler (talk) 16:27, 30 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Checkmarx edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Checkmarx. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Checkmarx. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:04, 21 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Checkmarx Logo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Checkmarx Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 06:40, 31 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Checkmarx deletion edit

Adarw,

I got your message on my talk page about the deletion of the Checkmarx article. I am responding here because you sent the same message to several users.

Since this article was deleted via the Articles for deletion process, you have a couple of choices. You could challenge the deletion via Deletion review, but quite frankly this is not likely to result in the decision being overturned, since the support for deletion during the AFD was unanimous. A better choice would be to request userfication of the deleted article so that it can be rewritten to supply more citations from independent reliable sources. This is crucial to establishing the notability of the company. Note that material on the websites of Checkmarx and its business partners does nothing to establish notability, nor do reproductions of press releases. What we are looking for is independent news coverage. From a look back at the deleted article, it appears that only one source (an article from Globes) met that standard. You can request userfication from any admin, or at the Requests for undeletion page. Once the article has been rewritten, it could be moved back to the article space, but would still be subject to review by others, including the possibility of it being deleted again if the consensus is that it still does not show notability.

Before you do any of this, you should think carefully about whether you have an objective perspective on this subject, since you are an employee of the company. Since you don't work in the company's marketing department, I assume you aren't simply writing articles about it as part of your job, but nonetheless your close association with the subject may make it impossible for you to accurately assess whether it is truly notable. --RL0919 (talk) 16:32, 11 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the full and helpful answer. I'm waiting to see if there are any other answers, to see where I stand. I still think it's a pity I was away when the discussion was taking place, maybe I would be able to do more back then, but it's too late now. I will however really consider the point of close association before I continue. The problem is that I believe many/most articles in this area were written by workers of the companies (Someone worked very hard for example to keep Fortify_Software "alive" in Wikipedia; I DO believe Fortify_Software should be part of Wikipedia, don't get me wrong). We are not Microsoft down here, so there are not so many people who WANT to write about us :). I guess asking for a customer to do it has the same problem. I'll thnk about it, thanks. World Factoring Yearbook edit

I'm leaving this message as you're listed as a current participant of WikiProject Business. I was informed yesterday that the current World Factoring Yearbook (circa £150) is now free for download as an ebook. It's a matter of filling outthis form. I'm not sure if you'll find this useful as a reliable source, but I thought I should let you know that it's freely available online. I apologise in advance if this doesn't interest you! WikiProject Investment edit

Hey there! I just re-launched the WikiProject Investment.

The site has been fully revamped and updated and I would like to invite you the project.

Feel free to check out the project and ping me if you have any questions.

I'd like to invite you to join the Investment WikiProject. There are a lot of Investment related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help get this project off the ground and a few Investment pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks!

Cheers! WikiEditCrunch (talk) 11:07, 23 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
