Copyvio edit

I just noticed that the page is very likely in violation of copyright from Mr. Jared's personal site. This is much more serious and the page probably needs to be deleted immediately. I've readded a speedy deletion tag to see if someone else agrees with me. Ronnotel (talk) 15:26, 3 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

and sure enough, User:JohnCD agrees and has deleted the article for copyright violation. You still have the original source in your user space. However, please do not recreate this article again until you have worked with another more experienced editor. Ronnotel (talk) 15:33, 3 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Copyright is a very serious issue for Wikipedia - see Wikipedia:Copy-paste. Mere assertion of permission to reproduce is not sufficient; it is essential to follow the steps explained in the copyright notice above.
However, please note that even if the copyright issue were resolved, the promotional tone of a company or personal website is likely to be unsuitable for an encyclopedia article, which requires a neutral point of view. Personal websites copied into Wikipedia may be considered as autobiography, which is strongly discouraged for reasons explained here.
Article subjects need to have notability, which is not a matter of opinion but needs to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." There is more detail at WP:Notability (people), and good advice on how to write an acceptable article at WP:Your first article. JohnCD (talk) 15:38, 3 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
