Your contributions to Women in ancient Sparta

edit

Thank you for your recent contributions to Women in ancient Sparta – it's always good to have new editors interested in this area! One thing I noticed about your edits is that your references generally point to a particular book chapter or journal article – Millender's essay on "Spartan Women" in the Wiley Companion to Sparta, for instance. It is usually much more helpful if the reference points to the specific page or pages referred to, which makes verification of claims much easier. For example, it is not clear where in Scott's "Plural marriage and the Spartan state" the claim As a result, plural marriage commenced between the early 4th century BCE and the late 5th century BCE can be found – but Scott's conclusion that "formalized plural marriage as an institution most likely dates to the archaic period" (p.424) appears to contradict it.
