AP discretionary sanctions alert

edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because your username, AbdicateJoe, does not meet our username policy. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have selected a new username that meets the username policy guidelines, which are summarized below.
Per the username policy, a username should represent an individual and should not: represent a group or organization; be promotional; be misleading (such as indicating possession of special user rights or being a "Bot" account (unless approved for such purposes)); be offensive or otherwise disruptive. However, a username that contains the name of a organization and also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87" is allowed, though, among others, the guidance on conflict of interest and the policy of paid-contribution disclosure are relevant.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our username policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you wish for your existing contributions to carry over under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" from their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a change of name request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use. Therefore, please check the list here to see if a name is taken prior to requesting a change of name.
Appeals: If, after reading the guide to appealing blocks you believe you were blocked in error, then you may appeal this block by adding {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice.
Usernames that "reference controversies" are not permitted. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 00:02, 29 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

So, is the part of the "don't bite the newbies?" Interesting. It's is difficult to not notice the anger in the actions I have experienced in just the one post that goes against what this website blog stands for. There is no free sharing of information, that is face lie. In this very limited contact I have had with representatives of WP, I now understand why we were never allowed to cite WP in college. So now you have a problem with my name? Your policy says that I can use my first name, tell me the problem?? I am not sorry that someone on your site has prejudice about my name and what adjective I choose to attach with it. I can verify if you like.

But I am sure you don't want to come off that high chair and be humbled...right? I am speaking now to the neutral reps or admins of this site. No slant right? Why do you allow liberal destruction and molestation of the factual history? Why do you allow liberals to have a free run at whatever they want to say, but any thoughts in the other direction you muffle it and suppress it. That's a dictatorship, Nazi-like, and you have every right to do that on your site, but don't try to pass off left-wing psychobabble as being unbiased. You need to read your page on new users again. You should have a disclosure for all new account, Absolutely No Aanimadversion's of Left-Wing Communist Beliefs Are Allowed. But feel free to smear the US and conservative values. 07:50, 29 January 2021 (UTC)AbdicateJoe (talk)

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. O Still Small Voice of Clam 08:19, 29 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
