Removal of Alcoholism in workplace section

edit

Howdy! I just removed a large addition by you on alcoholism and the workplace. Unfortunatly there were no citations and thus I could only assume that it was original research, which we can't put into wikipedia. Now that being said I would be glad to help you out on the formatting and you can then place it into the Alcoholism page without any worries that it will be removed. A good rule of thumb is one to two citations for each sentence. Wikipedia is really strict on what it considers a reliable source so look over that link to make sure you are using the right types of sources. I would also look over WP:SYNTH just to make sure you aren't synthesizing two or more WP:RS. Please let me know how I can help. Cheers! Coffeepusher (talk) 02:49, 14 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 22:39, 15 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

A couple of things

edit
  1. There needs to be inline refs
  2. Refs need to comply with WP:MEDRS (last 5 to 10 years and secondary sources)
  3. Some of your addition make no sense " Over 14 billion suffer from this deadly problem everyday" Please note that their or only 7 billion people on planet earth.

Please discuss changes on the talk page. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 23:09, 15 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Alcoholism page

edit

Hey I was wondering if i edited the alcoholism page right or was it wrong again?A Bhagwandin (talk) 23:00, 15 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

I've taken a look at the comments left on your page and I agree that those are some concerns. Lets take a look at what we need to do. First off, we need to find some Reliable sources for your addition, then we need to format them into inline citations. I can do that for you well if you would like, but I do need some sources. Why don't you get back to me when you have those sources ready and we can work on this together. I'm going to post this on your page as well, but most people keep a conversation on a single page so usually I would expect you to monitor my talk page. Also, in the future, please place your comments at the bottom of a person's talk page. I know you didn't know that. Cheers! Coffeepusher (talk) 04:35, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Next time you add this poor quality, wrong stuff to the article I will need to block you from editing. If you do not know what you are doing practice in your sandbox. Best. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 22:09, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
