An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:TheNearFutureoftheUSC.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. I uploaded that in my "not-so-good" days at Wikipedia. I thought it was deleted back then. If anyone can hear me, delete it, now. A•N•N•A hi! 22:20, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I know. That was a while ago. Deskana talked to me about that. Please see WP:DTTR. (By the way, this is one of the first times I've been able to get to a computer; I had to take mine in for repairs) A•N•N•A hi! 22:14, 5 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
However, you did blank the comments in order for your case to look good. This isn't a npa-3, but a tpv-1. Even if I hadn't given you a warning, we the Wikipublic can still see you blanked some portions of the page. Real96 00:35, 6 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:DinocoGals.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:DinocoGals.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 21:17, 10 May 2007 (UTC) Reply

Hello, ANNAfoxlover. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:ANNAfoxloverLOGOgoogleSTYLE.jpg) was found at the following location: User:ANNAfoxlover. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 03:53, 15 May 2007 (UTC) Reply

Two links.

edit

I am glad you have ventured into Wikipedia: Requests for adminship, as you did here. Just so you know, here are two handy links for what's best not to use as a criteria for opposition in someone's RfA: WP:AVOID. I'm not giving you the link because you said anything wrong in that RfA; I'm just giving it to you because you will find it useful. As well as that page, you should also read WP:GRFA for more information as well. You might have read them both already, and if you have, my mistake; but I thought I'd give you them both if you haven't. I hope they help you. :) Acalamari 17:36, 21 May 2007 (UTC) Reply

National flag infobox

edit

Hi ANNAfoxlover! Why did you remove "Design" from the infobox? For an example of its intended use, see Flag of Mexico. Cheers, --ScottMainwaring 15:18, 25 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I removed it because it was absolutely not needed, as the design appears not only in the image, but in the article as well. By the way, I know it's really weird that I don't know this, but,... what does "cheers" mean? Love, A•N•N•A hi! 00:06, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Articles' name

edit

Hello ANNAfoxlover,

I noticed you moved several articles, such as "Thou" to "Thou (word)". [1] Parenthetical expressions are usually used for disambiguation. Since the pages you moved appear to be the primary meaning of the subjects, and related disambiguation pages already exist (e.g. "Thou (disambiguation)"), they should not be moved to a new title with parentheses.

3RR

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. Where? A•N•N•A hi! 22:03, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
{{National flag infobox}} Ryan Postlethwaite 22:06, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
But that was all figured out already. That wasn't an edit war. A•N•N•A hi! 22:08, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
You reverted 3 times in a short time frame, it's an edit war. Metros 22:09, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
(EC) The history of the template seems to suggest it was, whether it's figured out now or not, I strongly suggest no more reverts for the time being. Ryan Postlethwaite 22:10, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
No, I reverted it 2 times. Also, I know that one more edit would become an edit war and a violation of WP:3RR. It was not an edit war. A•N•N•A hi! 22:12, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Whether you reverted 3 times or not, it was an edit war, an edit war is when users continuously revert other users edits - 3RR does not define an edit war. Ryan Postlethwaite 22:14, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
So anytime someone makes 2 reverts, it's an edit war (other than reverting vandalism)?
Yep, if your editing against another user, it's an edit war. Ryan Postlethwaite 22:18, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
What do you mean by "against another user"? A•N•N•A hi! 22:19, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
What I mean is that if your reverting other users non vandalism or disruption edits more than once, it's an edit war. Ryan Postlethwaite 22:20, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
I respectively advise you to read Wikipedia:Edit war. Ryan Postlethwaite 22:18, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
I just read WP:EW, but it does not say more than one revert is an edit war. Also, it's not a policy, it's a guideline. It says at least three reverts is an edit war, which could result in a block, but 2 reverts is a very little amount, and not an edit war. A•N•N•A hi! 22:24, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

An edit war is repeatedly reverting another user's edits. Since repeat means more than once, I fail to see how you can say this wasn't an edit war. Ryan does know what he's talking about, Anna. And don't say things like "It's a guideline, not a policy", because one day you'll ignore the wrong guideline and get yourself blocked. Guidelines NEED to be followed, they're not there to be disregarded as you see fit. If you don't understand the difference between a policy and a guideline, all you can do is treat guidelines like policies. --Deskana (talk) 22:57, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I didn't say I wouldn't follow it. Sheesh. By the way, no other users were continuously reverting. A•N•N•A hi! 23:36, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
I now suggest you read Wikipedia:Wikilawyering as you appear to be bending what I say out of context to suit your needs. You were edit warring, it's that simple. What conclusions and/or implications are drawn from that may be opinions, but that you were edit warring was a fact. --Deskana (talk) 04:15, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
