May 2016 edit

Hello, I'm Iryna Harpy. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Saudi Americans, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Iryna Harpy, the source is reliable.... The source is of 2013 US census.--92.187.111.157 (talk) 12:06, 16 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
Okay, the problem was with the reference not having been updated. I've now updated it. Cheers! --Iryna Harpy (talk) 00:55, 17 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Montenegrin Americans edit

Hi, IP 92.187.111.157. I've removed the Montenegro PDF you added to the Montenegrin-born statistics in the infobox because it only addresses the 2013 destinations for Montenegrin emigration according to UNICEF. I'd say that what is required is updated figures from American Factfinder as the number of people identifying as being Montenegro-born dates way back to 2000. It seems evident that there's been a much larger exodus to the U.S. alone since then, but we need a better source for such statistics in order to change them.

I've restored the 40,000 for those who identify as being of Montenegrin descent because that is according to the United States Statistics Bureau. The term doesn't only cover those who were born in Montenegro, but also their children and grandchildren (dependent on whether those people self-identify as being of Montenegrin heritage). Thanks for your hard work, anyway. Cheers! --Iryna Harpy (talk) 01:10, 3 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi Iryna Harpy. Actually, the Unicef page about the Montenegrin migration referred to the number of Montenegrin emigrants living in the United States in 2013, not only the Montenegrins who migrated in that year. This is so in all the migrants groups. For example, in the Unicef page about the immigration in the United States, it is indicated that 12 millions of Mexican emigrants lived in this country in 2013 (this number appear in the "place of origin of the migrants" category). Actually, we can not know how many people of Montenegrin origin or descent live in the United States, because we only have data from people with that origin living in the US in 2000 (the posted pages of the US Census bureau that record the ancestries and origins of people in the US, not indicate how many people of Montenegrin origin or descent living in the US). Therefore, we can only know how Montenegrins lived in the US in 2013 (a position closer to the present than the 2000 date). I think that in the data box of the article I could include a parenthesis next to the number of people who said Montenegrin origin or descent in 2000. That parentheses indicate how many Montenegrin immigrants lived in the US in 2013). I sorry for my poor English.--92.187.111.157 (talk) 13:46, 3 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I read through it again and have self reverted. Cheers! --Iryna Harpy (talk) 22:53, 6 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
