editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions so far. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:
- Create new pages and rename pages
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Upload images
- Have your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed
Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a certain number of days and made a certain number of edits.
If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (86.30.238.198) is used to identify you instead.
I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).

edit Hello, I'm Dorsetonian. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to List of Conservative Party MPs (UK) have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the help desk. Thanks. Dorsetonian (talk) 22:37, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
- Re List of Conservative Party MPs (UK) and your edit summary "I've consistently been the one updating this page for nearly two months. My edits have updated the current status of the whip having been withdrawn from several MPs" - can you point to a reference which says that the whip has already been withdrawn from these MPs? I reverted your edit as vandalism on the basis I thought you were making a political point (apologies - that is clearly not the case), but are you still jumping the gun? Dorsetonian (talk) 22:53, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
- Ok, I have found comments to confirm that is indeed the case. Blimey. Apologies again; for the avoidance of doubt for anyone else visiting, I have struck the message above; obviously you can remove it from the page completely. Dorsetonian (talk) 22:58, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
