Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, such as the one you made on Waterloo & City line. I greatly appreciate your constructive edits on Wikipedia. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

You are welcome to continue editing without logging in, but many editors recommend that you create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits, such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (82.71.11.209) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on this page.

Blocked

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I'm a little confused why this IP (which I, User:DDFoster96, and my ISP have control over) has been blocked. The notification says it was blocked by User:Drmies, but I can't see the block in the log or in the list of active blocks. The reason given for the block is "CU block: LTA". Other than the notification in the Android app, I can't see any notification of being blocked on the website or on this talk page. The contributions from this IP are, I think, all constructive. Thus, I can't see a reason why this IP has been blocked. I hope this is just a mistake or a bug in the Android app.

Decline reason:

As you can see from the conversation below, we admins are confused also. The Wiki software is not offering me an option to remove this block, and I cannot find a larger blocked range that includes this IP address, so there is nothing I can do to remove it. It seems to be a technical error on Wikipedia's end. In any case it expires soon. There is nothing else to do but decline this request and wait for tomorrow when the block should expire. If it doesn't expire, please re-report here. ~Anachronist (talk) 17:28, 16 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • There is no block, but if there were a CU block on the range, it is entirely possible that this particular IP address has nothing to do with that. I can't see your photo, so I can't comment on that. Drmies (talk) 19:33, 15 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
    • @Drmies: I can see the screenshot. It's a CU-LTA block by you, expiring July 17. If this is a dynamic IP address, the appellant is likely collateral damage from the block, but it's going to expire soon anyway. ~Anachronist (talk) 22:44, 15 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
      • Anachronist, thanks--still weird I can't see a block there. Drmies (talk) 23:43, 15 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Drmies: An SQL Query gives us 3 blocks set by you, with that description. One being 82.132.224.0/20 (block range · block log (global) · WHOIS (partial)), which, while somewhat close, and ending at the exact time that this request pertains to, this IP does not fall within. One being another range that this IP does not fall within. The last is a user that is likely not related, as they were blocked over a year ago. Odd. !ɘM γɿɘυϘ⅃ϘƧ 09:15, 16 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Anachronist: The only thing I can think of is possibly a cookie block, obtained after trying to edit logged out from that range. It's worth noting that that range is blocked Anon Only, and would not affect logged-in users (IP claims to be attempting to edit as DDFoster96). !ɘM γɿɘυϘ⅃ϘƧ 18:03, 16 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
