Fox News

edit

Please read up on WP:3RR you have already violated this on Fox News Channel, so here is your warning. Arzel (talk) 02:20, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

When the person reported me, I had only edited my own words or tried to.--76.235.200.246 (talk) 02:45, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Edit war

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing.

Do you even know anything about the subject or are you just responding to someone who cried "Rape".--76.235.200.246 (talk) 02:23, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

You have been reported at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring.--Jojhutton (talk) 02:32, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

No offense, but this is exactly why Wikipedia has a bad reputation.--76.235.200.246 (talk) 02:39, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

No offense, but there is a reason why wikipedia has policies and guidelines. Please become more familiar with them before deleting and reverting cited material. Eventually this ip account will be blocked (for edit warring) and the paragraph will go back in, all the rest of us have to do is wait. Sorry if thats not the answer that you were looking for, but thats the way it works here.--Jojhutton (talk) 02:47, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Wiki is also suppose to be NPOV, which the poll isn't.--76.235.200.246 (talk) 02:52, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Are you saying that its not the point of view that you would prefer? Cited material was removed by you nine times. A clear violation of the three revert rule. Even the consensus on the talk page was to keep it, and still is, but somehow you think that you can single handedly hijack the article and decide on your own, what is NPOV or not. Now there are established users who are afraid to touch the article for fear of any 3rr going against them. Thats a shame. No user shoudl ever be able to do that.--Jojhutton (talk) 02:57, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Neutral point of view. A person reported me for the 3R when I hadn't even done it yet. The warning brought about people who reverted just so that the 3R would apply. There was no consensus on the talk page.

Read up on WP:3RR you have far exceeded the limit, and continued to do so after I warned you. You will be blocked, you can try to mitigate the situation by self-reverting and working towards a concensus. Arzel (talk) 03:07, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I know that now I have, but it was a bait and hook deal.--76.235.200.246 (talk) 03:12, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

You can block this IP address, but all I have to do is disconnect my modem to get another one.--76.235.200.246 (talk) 03:13, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours to prevent further disruption caused by your engagement in an edit war at Fox News Channel. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

The full report of this case is at WP:AN3#User:76.235.200.246 reported by User:SeanNovack (Result: 31h). EdJohnston (talk) 03:15, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
